This is a creamy and rich chocolate cookie made with unsweetened cocoa and laden with marshmallows and chocolate chips. it has a fudgy brownie consistency. To make all cookie lovers happy, the golden marshmallows add just the right amount of chewy texture. 

This cookie is full of lip smacking comfort and deliciousness and it will be a contender for the best Christmas Cookie of the year, just forget about your current favorite.  Best of all, it duplicates that hot chocolate taste packed into a lunch box or when you just can’t stop to make a hot drink.

Hot Cocoa Cookies Ingredients

2½ cups All Purpose Flour

½ cup Unsweetened Cocoa

1 teaspoon Baking Soda

½ teaspoon Salt

1 cup (2 sticks) Unsalted Butter

½ cup Granulated Sugar

½ cup packed Brown Sugar

1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract

1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk

1 Large Egg lightly whisked

1 cup Semisweet Chocolate Chips extra for decorating

1 cup Mini Marshmallows extra for decorating

Hot Cocoa Cookies Baking Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.

Combine flour, cocoa, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. Set aside.

Cream butter.

Add granulated sugar, brown sugar and pure vanilla extract.

Beat until creamy.

Add the egg and combine.

Carefully and slowly add dry ingredients until well blended.

Gently incorporate semisweet chocolate chips.

Fold in mini marshmallows.

Drop by scoopful or rounded tablespoon onto parchment.

Push in a couple of chocolate chips and mini marshmallows on top for decoration.

Bake for 9½ minutes or until marshmallows are lightly golden.

Remove from oven.

Cool completely before removing from cookie sheets.

Store cookies in plastic containers for up to a week.

You will find that this cookie works as a favorite not only at Christmas time but throughout the winter.
