S'more's Pie

S’mores Pie

 This dessert is not just for sing-alongs around the campfire any more.  The Chocolate Goddess elevates the S’more to a more sophisticated level at the dessert table.  It is now transformed into a contemporary pie with all the luscious and fun elements still in the composition.

 The S’mores Pie is topped with a dollop of delicious marshmallow buttercream frosting and crowned with a toasted marshmallow for a playful effect. It is a quick and easy to make summer dessert that will tickle everyone’s palette!

 Graham Cracker Crust Ingredients

1 ¼ cups Honey Maid® Graham Cracker Crumbs

¼ teaspoon Salt

5 tablespoons Unsalted Butter

 

Brownie Chocolate Layer Filling Ingredients

1 package Double Fudge Brownie Mix

1 Large Egg (lightly whisked)

1/3 cup Vegetable Oil

1/3 cup Water

 

Marshmallow Butter Cream Frosting Ingredients

¼ pound (1 stick) Unsalted Butter

1 jar Marshmallow Fluff®

1 ¼ cups Powdered Sugar

½ teaspoon Salt

1 teaspoon Vanilla

 

10 Marshmallows for Toasting.

 

Baking Instructions

Preheat Oven to 350 degrees. 

Graham Cracker Crust Instructions

Combine graham cracker crumbs, salt and sugar.  Melt butter and combine with crumbs.  Press into a 9 inch deep dish pie plate. 

Bake for 6 minutes.

 

Chocolate Brownie Layer Ingredients

Combine brownie mix, egg, oil and water by hand.  Mix brownies 50 strokes by hand and spoon on top of graham cracker crust.

Bake for 35 – 38 minutes.  Remove from oven and let cool completely.

Marshmallow Buttercream Ingredients

 Let butter stand out for 30 minutes. Beat until smooth and then blend in Marshmallow Fluff.  Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Top each pie slice with a dollop of frosting.

 Toasted Marshmallow Instructions

Line a cookie sheet with parchment and place marshmallows on sheet.  Brown marshmallows under broiler for a few seconds until golden brown, watching constantly with oven door slightly ajar.  Top each slice of pie with toasted marshmallow. 

 

S’mores Pie stays fresh 5 days covered securely.
